Conservative Revolution
About Richard
Some of you, particularly my family and those I grew up with will wonder what is this Richard jazz
all about.  Richard is my given first name.  I grew up going by my nickname Tommy.  Which is
derived from my middle name, Thomas.  My first name began use in high school at my first job
and just began to stick for many people, so I go by both Richard and Tommy depending on who
you are.  With some exceptions, Richard has sort of become my "Professional" name.  I know it's
confusing, but such is life.  Now for more insight into me.

I am 31 years old and live in Bethlehem, GA with my beautiful wife of 12 years, Amber and our
three wonderful kids.  Life could not be any sweeter than it is now.  I love every moment I get to
spend with my family.  They are my life and a true blessing.

I was born in Birmingham, AL, but my family moved back to Georgia when I was 4.  I grew up in
Lilburn, GA.  I met my wife at age 17 working at McDonalds.  We hit it off and were married June
14, 1997.  She is my world.  I am very blessed to have her in my life.  She is a great mother to our
three kids and my best friend.  I couldn't ask for anything more.

A little bit into my background and where I come from.  I am half white and half Filipino.  My Mom
came to the US in mid 1970's when my folks married.  Nearly everything I am is because of them.
Through my parents, I developed a solid foundation of tradition and principles that really make
me who I am.  They are also primarily the roots of my Conservative beliefs and my love of this
country and our military.  Yes I became a little hellian through high school, but starting a family
early can have a strange effect on a man and bring him back down to earth.  I had to grow up fast
and did, and I have absolutely no regrets.

Being married and starting a family at an early age certainly brought Amber and I our share of
challenges.  We had many occasions in the early going where we could barely afford to put food
on our table and get our bills paid.  We were blessed with a strongly family support system, and I
was determined from the beginning to get us out of those difficult times.  While dedicating myself
to full time jobs, I also went to school full-time.  Through 7 challenging years, I was able to earn a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications Management from DeVry University and a
MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.

I was determined from day one that I would obtain the education that would give me the
foundation to build a solid career.  I did not make any excuses for the early struggles.  I knew from
day one I wanted to be a success and build a great career that I and my family could proud of.  I
now have a great career working as an Analytics Consultant for InterContinental Hotels Group.  It
has been a very rewarding experience for me to work with a great group of people.  Who knows
what this site and my radio show will bring in the future, but at this point I plan to be here for many
years to come.  It goes to show that hard work, drive, and determination will pay off in the long run.

These days I also coach baseball for my son Brandon.  I coached my other son Shawn at one
time and now he's focused on other things like music which is alright with me.  We come from a
musical family and he is picking up that tradition.  He started with the guitar l
ast year and will be
picke
d up playing the Baritone in the school band this year.  During the spring and even the fall
we find that we have a second home at the baseball park.  It is a true joy though.  I love being to
teach kids the game of baseball and being able to watch my son develop as a player.  He is a
true talent all over the field.  My daughter Ashley is something else.  Let me tell you, sons are
great but having a daughter will change your world.  She loves to dance and takes weekly dance
classes.  She is such a girl, but has no problem keeping up with her brothers either.  My wife,
Amber, has been Stay at home Mom since 1999 and I think our kids are so much better for it.
She is now working hard at developing her own businesses creating items like flower hair bows
and other items.  She is very creative.  Once she has a site I will link it here.

I am a Patriot that truly loves my country and bleeds red, white, & blue.  I have always been a
patriot, but even more ever since that cowardly attack by Islamic Terrorists on 9/11/2001.  I have
worn my American Flag lapel pin day after day since then and I now also wear an America
Supports You dogtag.  My military life was cut short, but I support our soldiers fighting today
1000%.  I have regretted many times not being able to be there fighting, but I guess my calling
was to enforce that support and make sure people understand the sacrifice these men and
women go through for their country day after day.  In the past year I did have the opportunity to
serve again in Georgia State Defense Force.  It was a great experience and I hope to get the
chance to serve again in the near future.  Our military needs our support as we fight an enemy
that seeks to perverse a religion in order to kill innocence
and spread their radical beliefs.

If you haven't guessed from other things, I am also a staunch Reagan Conservative. I am big
supporter of small government, an advocate of real tax reform through the Fair Tax, strong
enforcement of immigration laws, and of course a strong military force.  As President Reagan
Said, "Peace through Strength."

I am also a firm believer the ideals and principles of freedom that were held by our nations
founding fathers.  It seems that more and more over the years, many people in this nation have
forgotten what freedom truly means.  They have confused freedom with security.  Security that is
provided by an over sized federal government through the use of class warfare taxation and
entitlement's.  Through the FairTax we can begin that shift toward more freedom for the people of
this nation and I pray that one day the ideals and principles of our founding fathers will return.
